Social Media and Drupal

One of the reasons SunRain loves Drupal is that it can make keeping your social media up to date *really easy*!

There are plenty of contributed modules on Drupal.org that make auto-posting to Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, etc. possible.

This means that you only need to update your website once, and it is then possible for all of your other environments to be updated as well!

Sometimes, however, the best solution isn't to just use a module, but rather to create customized RSS feeds for your different environments. This way, you can customize the look / content that goes to Facebook vs. what goes to Twitter, etc.

Also, don't forget to make it easy for your users to post your stuff to their Twitter, Facebook, etc. accounts for you! (Something we aren't doing enough of on our own site at the moment ;) Do what we say, not what we do...)

Feel free to ask us more about this if you are interested! Or scour Drupal.org for ideas:
